You can see her top had collapse. This an update of Ken's first painting he did when he visited the Doria in the 90's.

I was on her sister ship the "Christophoro Columbo" in 1967; an exact duplicate except for a few interior appointments.

I showed my mother the 1995 painting and then the 2005 painting, and her mouth just dropped at the 2005 painting. I have to wonder how the Doria looks now. :(

its a surprise how the Doria is deterioating that fast. Britannic is in shallow watters maybe shalower then the Doria and been underwater much longer and she is in great shape. It is sad how fishing nets snags on theses wreck like the Dora and Lusitania.

The power of the sea amazes me to no end. I cant believe the Doria's superstructure is such a mess, and in relatively short span of time shes been on the bottom. But I read that the underwater currents where she lay are fierce.

Maritime law should prohibit commercial fishing over and around these wreck sites. Because they are historical sights.
