Sonic Boom - new sketches and original game name

Concept artwork images of Sonic Boom RoL have been posted by one of the two artits of the game to imgur.com, showing the stage of development for the ideas for Sonic Boom, which was refer to as "Project Apollo" for Code name. Some of this Artworks are from levels that have been already been show, but many inlcude discarded levels - a rolling Tunnel and a fight with a Dragon on a snowy mountain. Various designs for the Chao which would have differ strongly from the original (which I'm glad didn't go for, most of them look like been experiment cousins of Stitch), and various more images of the village. The project seems to have been on the board since 2010.

Among these Artworks, show the original designs for Lyric, who would have been an Owl, rather than a snake, and his robot minions would have been themed after that with an Owl head- and I have to say that sounds more interesting than a Snake choice.

During the process of development the game was to be call Sonic Origins. They made various designs of a MUCH younger Sonic with clothing (one has an Assassins Creed theme to it), a Teenage nerdy looking Dr. Eggman (WITH HAIR). I have to admit, I'm intrigue for the idea of making an official origin for Sonic and Eggman in their younger days, and who that evolve into the rivalry there is today. I kinna demonstrate the fate the final product has.
